| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | Dec 8, 2005 Bottle conditioned Golden to amber color, thin creamy head. Aroma of metallic green hops, some white sugar. Malty body, toffee, strong bitterness (good quality of English hop, partially aromatic), almost extreme at the end, with toffee again. Balanced, warming stuff, not too much complex nor exciting, but the more I drink it the more I like it ;-) Don’t drink it too cold! SilkTork (4184), Rochester, Kent, England

A rich, smooth, smokey, sweet, toffee accented strong ale that is very bequiling. I have been hearing from several different sources that Hepworth’s Christmas Ale is exceptional. I will join my voice to the others. This is an outstandingly attractive and splendidly well made brew. omhper (12261), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jan 16, 2005 Bottled. Pale amber. Appley and grassy. A very drinkable beer, despite it’s sweetness. It is somewhat roasty and has notes of honey. Pretty decent. leaparsons (4748), Leicester, Leicestershire, England
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Dec 6, 2002 Muddy brown in colour, this has earthy flavours with fruit and caramel. This beer is quite sweet and has a good alcohol kick. The clear bottle doesn’t bode well for those that like to lay beers down for maturing. Not a bad effort for this new brewery. Happy Xmas.
