Nov 23, 2003 Bottled. Deep ornage colour. Neutral aroma. Sweet and fruity with clean maltiness. A tremendously bitter finish gives the impression that you have been drinking ink.

Sep 8, 2005 Bottle from Tesco. Amber colour, quite rich in mouth bit creamy buttery (diacetyl?) Good solid tangy hop finish. Not bad.

Feb 8, 2009 A Mes rate. Gravicask at Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Golden brown with no head. Sweet fruity malt with a really pleasing burnt character. Late bitterness. Nice enough, just one dimensional.

Jan 24, 2005 Sept, 2002: Bottle - Beer Station.This ’first class ale’ is a delicious beer with a strong hit of dark chocolate followed by a long smooth mouthful of malt, finishing with a long sigh of dry, flowery hops. An outstanding example of traditional British ale. [3.1]
