Bottle. Very sharp aroma upon opening. Bitter and hoppy with an amazing amount of body for its 3.5 strength. This was took me by surprise-a very pleasant surprise.

Bottle. Pours a bright gold colour with a thin white head. A real grainy malt aroma. The taste is a bitter hop flavour with the finish also a dry bitter finish.

Bottle at chris o’s teabag for 2009 tasting. Alround rating: Fairly standard and unexciting bitter, british pale sweet malt nearly balancing grassy hop.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle from Budgens.
Very clean bright gold with an initially impressive white head that settles in a minute to some soapy looking suds. Boarderline 2. Creamy caramel malt aroma with slight hints of grass. Similar flavour with a soapy bitterness on the finish. Pleasant tangy mineral character to it. Not brimming with complexity but it has a nice dryness about it and has slipped down a treat while I’m watching United against Celtic. Get in Berbatov!!!

500ml bottle from Westholme Stores, Goring. Hazy amber with a thin white head; musty malt aroma; unpleasant musty malt flavour with stewed fruit and dusty hops. Perhaps a bad sample?

Bottle. Hazy golden with a small head. Grassy and grainy aroma. Good grassy bitterness. Medium body. Drinkable, but will soon be forgotten.

Jan, 2005Sussex Light Ale275ml bottle from the brewery. Pale orange session bitter with white lilly perfume, soft grainy malt and a fragrantly bitter finish. Lean enough to be refreshing but with enough juice and flavour to be interesting. [3.1]
April, 2007 Sussex500ml bottle from Spar in Rochester. Crisply but not aggressively carbonated. Light pale biscuit pale, with a clean dry finish, pleasantly and lightly perfumed with woody, vanilla hops. A very pleasant drop. [3.3]
