Live at the Herbst-Pitt Brauhaus: Clear, amber coloured, thin but stable lacing head; malts, cinnamon (!), some hpos in the aroma; moderate bitter flavour; exotic fruit (maracuja ?) in the finish, malts and cinnamin and hops too: Very well quaffable, well rounded. Worth a detour...............

Jun 5, 2006 An altbier that was very drinkable, but not as balanced as the others (ie. low hops and pretty sweet). This one poured a light copper-amber color with a very nice head that laced great. Good, but not great example of the style.

Dec 15, 2005 (tap at the Brauhaus Herbst Pitt, Krefeld) Clear reddish amber colour with a mid-sized foamy off-white head. Sweet malty and very fruity (apricot) aroma with a distinctive note of cinnamon. Moderately sweet malty, slightly caramelly taste with a strong almost exotic fruitiness (passion fruits) that lingers into the medium bitter and herbal hoppy finish with a tinge of liquorice. Nice and aromatic Alt with its own character.
