Silphium (2028), Lansing, Michigan, USA Aug 11, 2007 On tap at the brewpub/restaurant in Escanaba. Hazy, dirty light orange body, thin off-white head. Good estery, earthy, yeast-forward nose with coriander and wheaty tang. The body can be essentially described as a "yeast pulp," with creamy, spicy esters dominating citrusy, tangy wheat. A bit rough around the edges, lacking the crispness and finesse of the best wits. Does have good heft and mouthfeel.
