Aug 14, 2008 On tap at the Escanaba location enjoyed while receiving quite a few stares for the biking short tights, apparently that’s not the style in the UP. Clear copper with a beige head. LIght caramel and toffee malts with a citrus grapefruit punch. Bitter flavors mostly pine and floral on caramel malts. Long bitter finish that is a touch cloying. Really bitter grapefruit, but tasty with smooth carbonation.

May 28, 2008 On tap at the Escanaba brewpub. Pours a clearish pale orange, with little white rim. Noses in a dank, inky hop aroma. Nothing really stands out. Flavor is hop intense of course. A real alcohol balsam fir. Reminds me immediately of Stone 10th Anniv. A little grass, pine sap, and more alcohol. A bit hot and unrefined. The hops comes as a real mish mash of flavor. Burning. An interesting mix of flavor and bitterness, but in the end, the alcohol is too hot and the hops too coarse and muddled. Still, fun to try. Balance is okay.
