Hereford & Hops Backyard Braggot

On draught at the Hereford & Hops in Escanaba, Northern Michigan. Pours a clear reddish amber colored brew with a thin white head that quickly dissipates and leaves behind some nice lacing. Aroma of Christmas potpourri, cloves, a hint of honey, black licorice and some caramel. Taste is metallic and medium bodied, with flavors of cloves, black licorice, mincemeat pie filling, some caramel malt and light citrus zest. Finish is mildly spicy, some caramel and black clove aftertaste.
