Has a nice hoppy IPA aroma of flowery hops, can’t miss it. Slightly darker than your typical pale yellow american brew but the same color as many an IPA. Not really copper colored as it says on the bar card. I am expecting something really bitter, on the card it says 80 IBUs. On the initial flavor impression, I find it not watered down, it fits the IPA style pretty well. Grapefruit peel bitter flavor that lingers for long time. If you like IPA, you better seek this out at least for a one time try. Growlers are available! Very bitter medicine quality that hangs like any good IPA. I better rinse my mouth with some ice water before I taste another brew. Linger astringent bitterness will not go away. detroiter (958), Euphoria, Minnesota, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jan 15, 2007 Pours a hazy gold, topped by an inch of sudsy white foam. Good head retention and thick lacing. Fresh hoppy aroma - grassy and citrus - with a whiff of some sweet malt in the background.
This is one hoppy beer. Bittter hops flavor up front - lots of grapefruit and some lime. Bitter grapefruit pith in the finish and aftertaste. The malt is there definately providing balance, and body, and even aroma, but I do not detect any contributions to the flavor. Again, it is balanced and has good body, so I am not knocking this beer at all. No way. I gladly drank two. Good soft carbonation. FROTHINGSLOSH (2025), GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA

The aroma is moderately strong floral and fruity hops. The flavor is dry and bitter with a strong floral hop presence and a hint of grapefruit. Certainly hoppy but too bitter and thin. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 16, 2005 Pint at the Wausau, WI location. Light straw-gold with a lasting white head and touch of lace...slightly farmy nose, plenty of PNW hops a bit of perfumy quality...in the body, very bitter to start with fruity sweetness taking over towards the end...nose remains beautifully fragrant and gets stronger and stronger. gws57 (1138), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Jul 17, 2005 Had this one on draught in Wausau, Wisconsin. Clear and bubbly with a dark yellow pour, this IPA had a thick head, very mild hoppy, flowery nose, heavy on the hops in the taste with roses, but unusually sour in the finish. Not bad, but not my first choice. JoeM500 (1876), Chicago (little italy), Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Sep 2, 2004 Festival Tap: This was every bit an Imperial IPA according to my tastebuds. BIg Piney aroma, firey alcohol at first sip, sweet malts were earthy and chewy. Piney bitter finish laced with alcohol. A big thick beer. Oakes (8101), gone rambling, Cambodia
