| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Apr 16, 2008 This was a decent dry stout. Aroma was weak but could pick up roasted malt. Pour was a deep dark brown with a two finger tan head. Taste was typical nitrogenated draft. Very thin mouthfeel...no carbonation and an almost chalky roasted malt character. Some coffee comes out as it warms. Not bad for the style. Skyview (4076), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Mar 29, 2008 On nitro draught at the Wausau brewpub location, pours an opaque dark reddish brown brew with a creamy beige head that has some excellent lacing and retention from the nitro charge. Aroma of toasted dark malt, a touch of coffee, and smoked wood. Taste is full bodied, smooth, creamy with flavors of toasted dark malt, a touch of coffee, vanilla, flowery hops and even some lactose. Finish is smooth and creamy as its flavor with a semi-sweet toasted malt aftertaste. Looks like the Wausau brewed stout has more flavor than the Cranberry, PA location. dpjuart (670), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA

Coffee colored head, foamy and long lasting. Good lacing. Roasted coffee nose, a bit sweet. Big roast character, little bitterness. Run-of-said-mill, but not bad. Drinkable, sessionable, pretty watery. Eh. Nate (2558), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Dec 28, 2007 On tap. Rich coffee chocolate nose, with smoky bitterness, sesame seed bitterness, and dusty grain. Dark black clear with creamy tan lacing head. Medium-heavy watery body with smooth carbonation. Starts dry with carbonic tang and watery coffee notes. Not a huge taste profile, subdued and dry. Light chalky bitter finish and after. Naka (526), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 14/20 | Dec 27, 2007 Pours black with a long-lasting thick tan head. An aroma of black coffee and bitter chocolate. Not really any sort of hops detected. Tasted a lot like a smoked coffee with a bitter dry finish. There were some notes of chocolate and roasted malts as well. CaptainCougar (5526), Rockville, Maryland, USA
