| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Nov 18, 2007 On tap at the Wausau brewpub on 6/24/07: Pours a dark copper mahogany with a thin-lacing froth of white head. Aroma of dry, earthy, lightly toasted malt and some mild hop presence. Body starts fairly full and lightly sweet with a touch of caramel and earthy dark malts along with a decent bittering hop balance. A pretty good red ale. muzzlehatch (4427), Burlington, Vermont, USA

Light but malty, almost no hops, cherry hints, very smooth and mild. Will please the Michelob crowd. tiggmtl (4311), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 10, 2005 Very mild aroma offers crystal malt and herbal hops. Clear amber-tan coloured body with a low but lasting, off white head. Biscuity malts are joined by crystal malts with some herbal hops and mild bitterness. Pleasant if undifferentiated from the pack. Medium light body with moderate carbonation. Sampled at GABF 2005. Skyview (4064), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 12, 2007 Picked up a sigle 22 oz bottle at Trig’s in Wausau, WI. Pours a reddish amber brew with an off-white head that dissolves quickly. Nice lacing. Aroma has scents of roasted barley malt, apples, pears, and a touch of caramel. Flavor is lightly carbonated, medium body and mild bitterness. Finish is clean, crisp, and a nutty aftertaste. Much better than the bottled White Tail Ale. Sammy (4049), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | May 14, 2006 Sweet rather than hoppy. Thin-medium mouthfeel. Copper colour. I think the weakest in their lineup, particular as only taste was some caramel malt and, but people ask for a red.Faint aroma, faint bitterness finish. Bit dry aftertaste with sugar. At the brewpub.

| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | May 12, 2007 Again, thanks to Skyview. Dark copper color with a medium head. The aroma is oddly orangy. Interesting for an Irish Ale. Very musty malt taste, like walking into a room that hasn’t seen fresh air in a few years. Not bad, not great. JK (2961), Richfield, Minnesota, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | May 18, 2007 Another from Skyview. Light malt aroma. Red color, and a light roasty character with no discernible hop presence. Not offensive but uninspired and boring.
