Hereford & Hops Dog Days Wheat

On draught at the Wausau, WI location brewpub. Pour a semi cloudy golden light blond brew with a creamy white head that slowly dissipates to a white ring that leaves behind some spotty lacing. Aroma of cascade-style hops, a touch of golden grain malt with wheat, and a hint of fruity pear. Taste has an average wheat texture but has more citrus and pine hops compared to most other wheat ales I’ve tried. Finish is slightly watery, yet has a semi-sweet citrus aftertaste what quickly disappears to a crisp grind. The best way to describe this beer is a wheat ale with a character profile of an American Pale Ale.
