| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Feb 10, 2008 On draught during the Winterfest 2008 in downtown St. Paul, Minnesota. Pours a clear copper amber brew with a fast dissolving off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and thin white ring. Aroma of multi-grain malt, light citrus zest with a touch of white grape juice. Taste is medium bodied, lots of carbonation with flavors of light multi-grain malt, some light citrus and some crisp light fruit. Finish is slightly metallic a little grainy with a clean cut aftertaste flavor. Dickinsonbeer (3496), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA

Aroma is sweet clean caramel malts, nutty with mild light munich and viena malts. Toasted malt flavor with a hoppy noble spiciness- and a bit pretzel-like. Crisp clean finish- doughy and malty. Nice marzen. thomasacross (129), Edina, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | May 14, 2007 Draft at Herkimer. A beautiful deep ruby color. Wheaty and malty aroma is faint. Slightly sweet but no significant malt flavors... Really, not much flavor at all. A light, session-beer type Marzen. haddon90 (1036), Alexandria, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 2, 2007 On draft at the brewpub. Deep orange with a tiny head. Wheaty aroma with some interesting malt to it. A little roasted in the flavor. Lighter than most marzen’s. Nothing overly impressive, but not that terrible. badgerben (3605), Blaine, Minnesota, USA

Very ’grain-silo-ish’ in the taste. A little sweet, but not too much. Not a great example of the style, but enjoyable. robertsreality (2460), Minnesota, USA

| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Dec 29, 2003 Some lacing on a crystal clear bronze body. Slightly smoother and definitely more malty than their other regular offerings. Yet the aroma for almost all of them contained something curious--vanilla?--that by the time I got to this one I began to suspect either a "house style" or a line problem or a dishwasher issue. The bitterness here was mid and front of palate, more metallic.
