Skyview (2901), Papoose Jct., Minnesota, USA Oct 3, 2008 On draught during the ABR ’08 in Minneapolis, MN. Pours a clear golden pale orange brew with an average off-white head that has some nice retention and spotty lacing. Aroma of light caramel malt, a touch of vanilla and roasted nuts. Taste is medium bodied, malty character of caramel, toffee, some roasted nuts and grassy hops. Finish is semi-dry, crisp, with a light caramel and toffee aftertaste that quickly disappears. General_Gao (2575), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Mar 16, 2008 Draft at the brewpub. Poured a clear light orange-golden color. The head was thin and white with decent retention and lacing. Pleasant aroma of caramel and subdued vanilla cake batter. Dry on the tongue with fresh cereal grain, noble hop, caramel, and light toffee flavors. Pretty tasty. BückDich (4558), Boise, Idaho, USA Oct 5, 2007 Draft @ Brewpub: Copper, no head or lacing. Nose of ripe canal water and malt, light caramel, some diacetyl. Dry mouthfeel but a sweet flavor, odd. Not that good. tytoanderso (1198), St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA Jul 9, 2007 Pours amber/red with minimal head. Not a lot of aroma: a bit of malt, just a touch of roasted nuts. Lightly roasted malt and just a hint of hops on the palate. Refreshing and not wholly undrinkable. RagallachMC (631), Cleveland, Ohio, USA Apr 10, 2007 Draft at brewpub. Aroma: Lightly toasted malt with a note of almonds. Some light herbal hops. Appearance: Orange-brown in color and clear. Light khaki head was small and foamy with decent retention. Fair lacing. Flavor: Lightly toasted grainy malt, toasted nuts, light herbal and earthy hops. Medium-light bitterness. Finishes clean. Palate: Medium bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: Nothing special, but drinkable. Went well with my dinner.
