| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Sep 5, 2009 This corked and caged bottled brew from a bottle shop poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a transparent strongly carbonated golden and a fair lacing. The mild aroma was malty. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and strongly tingly at the finish mild vinous hop aftertaste. The strong flavor contained notes of hops and mildly vinous. Delicious and one I would certainly buy again. rcweir (121), Massachusetts, USA

Full body, thick, chewy. very sweet, with a crisp finish. Seems too sweet, almost like the fermentation stuck. DJMonarch (6941), Northwich, Cheshire, England

| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Apr 22, 2009 Clear dull golden appearance with a fair white 1cm foam. I hate the idea behing denaturing a lager’s purity to try to make a sipper out of it, so take my critic with a grain of salt. This is a strongly honeyed, very strawy, pale lager of heavy bready flavours. Not quite syrupy, but unnoticeable hops, so it might as well be. Certainly not multi-dimensional. Medium slick body. Simple and not refreshing at all in its linear, sweet flavour profile. Yuck.

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Apr 1, 2009 Golden colored with a shade of copper; impeccably clear with medium carbonation. Smells strong and estery, like applesauce, cherries; has some earthy notes and graininess. Tastes sweet and deliciously fruity, again like cherries or red grapes; is candy-like and sugary. Hops are pleasant and earthy with a hint of spice. Has almost no bitterness. Mouthfeel is a tad cloying, but this is otherwise an exquisitely drinkable beer with just a suggestion of being quite fortified with alcohol.
