Apr 5, 2008 Bottle: Pours a bright golden color that maintains a large white head. Aroma is fruity and sweet. Flavor is fruity, sweet, and grassey. Not as much carbonation for an imperial pilsener as I had expected. Smooth and calm. Thanks Jordan.

Mar 30, 2008 Don’t know why this is listed as a European Strong Lager, since the ABV doesn’t seem to be available. (Not listed on my bottle, either.) It’s a strong Czech Pils. From the bottle it pours a golden body with a solid white head. The aroma is bread smeared with honey, alcohol (this is not your Aunt Heddiwig’s Pils), and a touch of grassiness in the background. There’s a touch more hoppy bitterness in the flavor, but it’s accompanied by a jolt of alcohol that removes it from the Pilsener categories. Sweet malt, fresh white bread, and honey are the major components of the flavor. Mar 25, 2008 750 ml bottle (thanks to bigbeer for sharing) poured a clear gold with a small lasting white head. Aromas of cork, straw, fruittiness and light spice. Palate was light to medium bodied smooth and slightly dry. Flavors of straw, fruittiness, honey and light spice with a smooth dry lightly sweet finish.

Mar 7, 2008 Flavors that were more mostly of sweet malts and some very little yeasty aftertaste. Not my favorite style but I enjoyed the style.

Jan 30, 2008 Golden amber in colour, no head, no lacing. The aroma was incredibly sweet, lots of honey, lots of alcohol. The flavour is again very sweet, large amounts of honey, alcohol, some plastic. Intensely sweet mouthfeel, medium body, medium carbonation. Finishes long, sweet, alcoholic. Too sweet, pretty horrible.

Jan 7, 2008 [883-20071201] 750mL (Xmas Party 2007, beerhugger & guests). Sourdough yeast aroma has a light straw background and weird cucumber or sweet honey notes. Clear, orange yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Sweet honeyed playdough yeast flavour has more toasted honey. Medium body. Super sweet yuck, this one Strongly resembles liquid Playdough for me.

Dec 13, 2007 750 ml bottle. I really liked this. I have a thing for these Imperial Pilsners. Sweet aromas with malty caramel and vanilla. Flavors were similar with some hops for balance. Floral, spicy, sweet. Pretty good.

Dec 11, 2007 bottle shared by kp: pours a clean golden gold hay colour with a slight white head. aroma is very odd malt maybe some earth hops. hard to decifer some butter caramel. flavour is a bitter earth like hop and the odd malt flavour. very odd not great though.
