Commercial Description:
Golden Revolution heralds the arrival of a new Czech pilsner standard. This handcrafted, dry hopped imperial pilsner sends a powerful message to the pilsners that have come before. Echoing the words of one of the Velvet Revolution's heroes as he dismissed the communists, Golden Revolution proclaims: "Thank you, now go away".

bottled. saved this one for my birthday drinks expecting something flash. golden. light head, chewing gum aroma, lots of stewed flavours - pear and asparagus with some horseradish thrown in, nasty kerosene alcohol presence. my czech guests thought that this must be some joke that the brewery was playing on americans since this beer isn´t normally available here. i don´t know how a decent brewery could brew something this terrible

Words: compared to dogfish head golden shower

dfh is cloudy compared to crystal clear of the hr, dfh has a much stronger aroma of spicy hops and sweet malt where the hr has a softer aroma with the same sweet malt but much lighter hops, much more robust hoppy flavor in the dfh while the hr has a more traditional sweet malt and lighter balancing hops,

Pours to a bright golden body with a thin white head. The aroma has a buttered biscuit, pilsner malt, and light minerals. The flavor is mineral laden, buttered biscuits, and sweet honey. Sweet, thick, syrupy.

Imperial pilsner? Far too many fruity esters in here to make me think this was ever cold conditioned. Nice fluffy head and some decent hop aromas expressing themselves. Ugh, the yeast strain and fermentation temperature used just kill it for me. Odd sweetness prevalent throughout. One good note is that I did enjoy the mouthfeel and creamy texture. That is, until the esters jumped back in and took that experience away from me. Bastards!

MJ’s Rare Beer Club, 750 ML corked bottle 6/22/07: Deep golden body w/ a short lived white head. Cork barely popped but there was some CO2 released upon pouring. Slightly floral and green apple w/ grainy malt; some spicy alcohol notes. Light bready mlat s it warms and the green apple tones go away. Breay malt becomes much stronger, as does the floral hop as it warms further. Mostly clean, bready malt flavor; some alcohol. Floral hop w/ a touch of sweetness up front, finish is semi sweet as is overall balance. Some grapey fruity flavor from fermentation and malts mid palate. Aftertaste is a bit sugary & sweet, but does have a slight bit of residual bitterness way into the lingering aftertaste. Fuller medium body, smooth well hidden alcohol, low medium CO2. Nice beer! Mildly impressive to say the least... Not terribly complex, but it is a "pilsner" style... Sort of, but definitely not an all nighter. Nice change of pace from highly hopped "strong ale" types.

Lightly chill hazed golden liquid with a taller lightly fluffy off-white head and decent lace. Very sweet aromas, with sour apples, simple candi, light caramel and tropical fruit punch. For some reason I feel like I am about to bite into a sugary sour gummy worm. Truly a Euro Strong, but not the typical corn laden lager. Sweetness is prevalent throughout the quaff. Pale malt and light caramel dominate with resin and over-ripe fruit coursing through. No crispness, sugary and mouth-coating, nearly sickeningly fruity with vine ripened fruit. Reminds me of my grandmothers fruit wines, not sure which one though, either rhubarb or strawberry. Bleck!
