Words: compared to dogfish head golden shower
dfh is cloudy compared to crystal clear of the hr,
dfh has a much stronger aroma of spicy hops and sweet malt where the hr has a softer aroma with the same sweet malt but much lighter hops,
much more robust hoppy flavor in the dfh while the hr has a more traditional sweet malt and lighter balancing hops,

Aroma is moderately sweet, floral/orange, light honey. Taste is sweet, honey, cantalope, berry, flowery. Low carbonation, medium-full body, light stickiness. Who the heck would drink a 750 of this?! I hate the idea behing denaturing a lager’s purity to try to make a sipper out of it, so take my critic with a grain of salt. This is a strongly honeyed, very strawy, pale lager of heavy bready flavours. Not quite syrupy, but unnoticeable hops, so it might as well be. Certainly not multi-dimensional. Medium slick body. Simple and not refreshing at all in its linear, sweet flavour profile. Yuck.

The nose is very medicinal and sweet with notes of honey, toffee, acetaldehyde and light, spicy hops. The flavor is all malty sweetness; not even infringed upon by the mild dose of herbal, spicy hops. Medicinal as well. Über pils for certain; a little too Über for me. Full-bodied and very oily with medium carbonation. Finishes cloyingly sweet. Nonetheless, A big THANKS goes out to jimbowood for supplying the very large bottle... which I drank entirely on my own! Aroma of sweet biscuity, caramely Belgian malt has some fresh, green Saaz hoppy character. Body starts with a fairly full, rich, sweet pale biscuity malty flavor with a good, fresh green hoppiness toward a bittersweet finish. Lots of pale maltiness throughout is nicely balanced with plenty of authentic hops. An enjoyable brew.
