CaptainCougar (4624), Rockville, Maryland, USA Apr 21, 2007 Bottle sampled on 1/10/07: Pours a transparent golden bronze with a thin, wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of sweet biscuity, caramely Belgian malt has some fresh, green Saaz hoppy character. Body starts with a fairly full, rich, sweet pale biscuity malty flavor with a good, fresh green hoppiness toward a bittersweet finish. Lots of pale maltiness throughout is nicely balanced with plenty of authentic hops. An enjoyable brew. fordest (1684), Santee/San Diego, California, USA Dec 13, 2007 750 ml bottle. I really liked this. I have a thing for these Imperial Pilsners. Sweet aromas with malty caramel and vanilla. Flavors were similar with some hops for balance. Floral, spicy, sweet. Pretty good. Enjoyit (1087), Vadum, Denmark Sep 27, 2007 Golden of color with a white head. A sweet aroma of toffee, sweets and sweet malt. A flavor of sweet malt, hae, bitter notes and notes of hops in the finish. moejuck (1111), Ohio, USA Mar 3, 2007 Light honey and sweet malt aroma. Light golden brown body offers a medium palate. The taste is sweet foremost. Honey and sweet malt--just like the aroma promised. Pilsner yeast is detectable for sure. Enjoyable. Ibrew2or3 (1648), Safety Harbor, Florida, USA Dec 5, 2007 Courtesy of kp. Pours a clear gold with white head. The aroma is sweet malts and some sweet wheat malts. The taste is the same sweet malts and sweet wheat malts noticed in the nose plus the addition of some nice fresh hop spice and floral noble hops that are on par with the malts creating some nice balance. It ends somewhat hoppy in flavor mixed with the sweet malts. It is fresher and more balanced than the DFH version. I liked it. It would be great on a hot Tampa day.
