Color is a dark golden-orange, darker than other pilsners I have sampled. Aroma is strong and very malty with some sharpness. Flavor is malty but not sweet, and it has a good hoppy edge but not any real bitterness. This pils is smooth but tingly, and the aftertaste has hoppy overtones. Tasty.

My Bottom Line:
A somewhat fruity and dusty yeast presence roams with the prevalent maple/honey sweetness of this rather malty bohemian pilsner. If you expect a crisp and beautifully hoppy Czech pils, this might not be it.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A sheet of foam fades into the dull, hazy blond.
-The finishing hop bitterness is quite dry and muddled, a little wooden.
-This has the usual, bready sweet flavor profile of 14-degree svetlés.
-Is this controlled diacetyl I perceive, or is the malt’s sweetness leaking into butterscotch territory?

Bottle; no date.

The aroma is sweet with caramel malt, yeast, and light herbal hops. The appearance is light amber gold with a thin head. The palate this thin. This is a sweet caramel interpretation of a Bohemian Pilsner light on the hops. The aftertaste has sugar and a little bit of chemical bitterness.

Pours cloudy amber with very little head that dissapates quickly. Leaves little to no lacing. Sweet malty aroma and a slightly hoppy finish. The longer I drink it the more I like it.

Pours a dark gold, but not too pretty. Grain malts and bread lace about both in nose and taste. No bitter, just easy and smoothe. Very drinkable as an opener.

Aroma is very hearty with grain and bread notes. Clear golden body with a lazy white head. Fore is again bready and grainy with a bit of yeasty dough sweetness. It gives it an almost ale like feel in the regard. Very mild hop bitterness in the finish and even a mild toastyness. Much better than I expected it to be.

Thanks to Degarth for this one! The Stork pours with a dark yellow body that holds up a long lasting, creamy, bone-colored head. Rich bready, doughy malt aroma that is supported by a flowery hops. Slight sweetness that is balanced by a good hop bitterness underneath. A bit soapy, but there is lots of body for the style here that make this quite enjoyable.

Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy honey gold with 3/4” white head. Smells like caramel apples, flat out. Green Granny Smith apples. Flavor of pear juice, and...man, not much else. Little bit of malt, hint of corn. After taste like green red apple skin and just a touch of hop bitterness. Body is on the thin side, but appropriate for the light flavor of the beer. Is this even beer? This flat out the most drinkable lager I’ve ever had. I’m impressed.
