Commercial Description:
12 degrees Plato. Brewed in the clasic Bavarian style, no longer common among Czech brewers. We use local wheat and pilsner malts, Saaz hops, yeast bartered from a small Bavarian brewery, and well water to brew a unique sample of Bohemian wheat. The beer is lagered for 50 days, and bottled without filtration.

Great nose…very nice smelling banana. Taste, however is very average. After drinking the black lager I was hoping for so much more.

Buttery, baked banana bread aroma. Bland and nearly flavorless - not sweet, not hoppy, very mild esters. Good label, good bottle, butterscotch colored hazy beer. Very, very disappointing. Slightly tart finish, watery mouth.

Bottle. Pours hazed gold with a rocky, tall white head. Nose is very wheaty with light citrus, yeast, and a hint of bubblegum. Light herbal note and maybe mint. Taste also wheaty and laden with sweet malts, ripe fruit, faint yeast, more bubblegum and mint leaves. Body is smooth and creamy with mild carbonation feel. Finishes with more herbal notes, wheat and bubblegum. Light citrus and yeast show up at times here too. Nice!

Bottle at Andy’s. Shared with Maibockaddict. Yellow in color with a white head. Banana clove aroma. Smooth and creamy beer. Ok.

Bottle at Andy’s. Milky yellow with a white head. Malty clean banana malt aroma. Flavor is malty with hints of banana. It is smooth and creamy. Cross between a lager and a hefe? Does not really come together for me.

I sampled the 0.5l bottle, which poured golden yellow and with a slight haze. The pour left a largish, quickly-dissipating white foam head; no lacing. The aroma is quite pleasant and conspicuous with the scent of citrus, banana and clove. This is a refreshingly light bodied lager, effervescent and well-carbonated with a satisfying palate dominated by lemon rind citrus and notes of overripe banana, clove and yeasty spice. Nice hop balance and clean finish in the long-lasting finish.

Poured a remarkably clear deep gold, decent head. Pleasant aroma of clove and banana. Banana, citrus, and clove mix with wheat in a pleasant, refreshing manner. Soft carbonation, well done hefe.

Clear, deep golden lager. The nose is of clove and peach. The flavor is thin, but well-balanced and renders the same spicy and fruity notes as the aroma. Light-bodied and fizzy. Short, crisp, clean finish. One of my least favorite styles of beer and not really all that good for the style.
