| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 18, 2006 Fairly clear, warm straw body with an ample, sudsy, pure white head. Unexpectedly fragrant esters with strong banana and some rich wheatiness and honey tones. Pleasant flavors, but somewhat sweeter than desired. Nice spicy Saaz characters and some light plastic phenols in the finish. A fair hefeweizen. guzzler67 (1281), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jun 10, 2006 Pale gold appearance with a slight haze and a fast fading, large white head. Spicy aroma with the familiar yeasty aromas of a good German hefe. Smooth, creamy mouthfeel, medium-bodied, lively carbonation. Fruity, spicy taste that delivered well into the finish. victory (45), Pennsylvania, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jun 5, 2006 Damn, thought I’d be the first until I realized that the Wheat Lager was an alias for the Hefeweizen... ah well. A very solid beer. Hints of banana, cloves, all the stuff that makes tripels so tasty. Unfortunately, it only leaves a hint of an aftertaste, and things by Herold aren’t very widely available. A very solid Czech beer (although that’s probably redundant). thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | May 16, 2006 This bottled brew from Tampa, FL poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored mostly diminishing bubbles that left behind a softly carbonated transparent yet hazy light orange brown colored body. The aroma contained fruity wheat malty notes. The mouth feel was tingly crisp and clean from start to finish. The flavor was made up of wheat malt and mild fruity notes. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Mar 23, 2006 Bottle Cloudy yellow, big foamy white head.
Very interresting aroma: Estery apricot, light sourdough and cloves.
Flavor along the same lines - slightly wooden and dusty, but the fruityness prevails. Relatively light body and with a sparkly carbonation on the palate. I think with this beer freshness is everything, and this bottle came straight from the source thanks to Pivnizub. Danke Günther! mephisto (1144), Taiwan
