In my case, it's my personal favorite, even beating out reigning champ Hacker-Pschorr. Amazingly wheaty with a lemonade-like citrus taste that adds complexity. Pours a hazed orange gold with small, foamy white head of slickly sheeting bubbles. Big aromas of savory spices, lots of clove, fresh squash (pumpkinseed), some rotten oranges. Flavors are just as bold as the aromas, quite frankly, exciting. The mix of flavors throughout this quaff are soft and sweet honey, apple blossom, and mildly spiced fresh wheat bread. A holiday of cinnamon, allspice, and clove are subdued and never obtrusive, but integrated perfectly. There’s a hint of peat or smoke so subtle as with a smoked sea salt. Doughy flavor lingers and brings it together, the aftertaste reminds me of a spiced hot cross bun, also hitns of bubblegum. This is the most unusual and most delicious wheat beer I’ve had in a long time. Yum. TheBeerOrg (1576), Kentucky, USA

Sweet fruity aroma: bananas, clove, spicy citrus. Smooth refreshing wheat beer to be enjoyed outside. Lots of fruit esters. Balance is perfect, beer is near perfect. Please don’t taint this one with a lemon. TheBeerBaron (219), Florida, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Mar 20, 2007 Bottle. Cloudy gold color medium amount of carbonation and a small white head for a hefe. Pleasant wheat aroma with sweet citrus bacground - great smell. Light on the palate but not watery. Sweet citrus taste makes this hefeweizen stand apart from the others. No need for a lemon slice in this one. AOF (282), Naperville, Illinois, USA

Sweet malts, lemon, honey, banana bread, cloves, and a hint of smokiness. Refreshing and crisp with a thin, clean finish. One of the best, if not the best, hefeweizens I have tasted. beaconstreet (811), Washington DC, USA

Drank this on a promenade next to the St. Charles Bridge on a goregous early may evening. Tastes like halloween. Candy corn and lime overtures to the taste. Palate firm, nice, delicious. I can say I love this beer. Braudog (3762), Dayton, Ohio, USA

Yeasty aroma ... light banana essence. But also a unique clarity and crispness with a kiss of hoppy finish. Quite yummy. LiebeBier (793), Annapolis, Maryland, USA
