Perhaps I drank it it a little too warm, but then I am an Englishman. Besides, I think I would rather drink shandy than beer. Gethinbeer (1006), Nova Scotia, Canada

Golden ale with a decent white head. Looks high in carbonation but isn’t when you start drinking. Herbs, spice, bitter. I enjoyed this beer. imdownthepub (5177), Banbury, Oxfordshire, England

Quite a thin, biscuity malt lager beer, sweetish with a little butterscotch apparent. A little late, grassy oily hop but all quite underwhelming. TBone (6844), Pori, Finland

"Svetly Breznicky Lezak (Premium Lager)
Golden color, small white head. Typical prototype of Czech-pils nose: buttery, oaky hoppy, even with diacetylic aroma. Par with flavor: buttery, slightly woody hoppy, light toffee notes. A bit too quick finish. Easy going pils. oh6gdx (9102), Vasa, Finland

Aroma is hops, grass, slight diacetyl and some mild malts. Flavour is the same, but the maltyness and grassyness are really big. Refreshing, but hard to get down... Svesse (2683), Hässelby, Sweden

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 5, 2007 500ml bottle from Asda, labelled "Herold Czech Premium Lager". An intense golden colour with an off-white head, vigourous at first but quickly expiring, leaving little carbonation; fresh herbal aroma; full in the mouth with flowery hops and a touch of citrus, then a deep bitter kick, and a spicy warming finish. An excellent example of the style.
