Found this to be rather unpleasant, almost foul tasting. Perhaps I drank it it a little too warm, but then I am an Englishman. Besides, I think I would rather drink shandy than beer.

Bottle form the Kings Head, Monmouth. I loved this beer this summer. Golden ale with a decent white head. Looks high in carbonation but isn’t when you start drinking. Herbs, spice, bitter. I enjoyed this beer.

Bottled, 500ml, from Asda, Leamington. Gold with white head. Quite a thin, biscuity malt lager beer, sweetish with a little butterscotch apparent. A little late, grassy oily hop but all quite underwhelming.

Golden color, small white head. Typical prototype of Czech-pils nose: buttery, oaky hoppy, even with diacetylic aroma. Par with flavor: buttery, slightly woody hoppy, light toffee notes. A bit too quick finish. Easy going pils.

Bottled@SBWF2007. Golden colour, mediumsized white head. Aroma is hops, grass, slight diacetyl and some mild malts. Flavour is the same, but the maltyness and grassyness are really big. Refreshing, but hard to get down...

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 22 Sep) Golden yellow colour with white head. Malty, grassy nose with some toffee. Malty taste with notes of toffee, nuts and a genrous dose of grassy hops in the finish. Balanced malt sweetness. Clean, fresh, nice and tasty.

Golden of color with white head. An aroma of hops, notes of malt, pretty dry in aroma. A flavor with notes of malt, bitter hops, pretty dry finish.

500ml bottle from Asda, labelled "Herold Czech Premium Lager". An intense golden colour with an off-white head, vigourous at first but quickly expiring, leaving little carbonation; fresh herbal aroma; full in the mouth with flowery hops and a touch of citrus, then a deep bitter kick, and a spicy warming finish. An excellent example of the style.
