| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Aug 8, 2006 Pours a bright deep gold. Thin creamy head with lots of lace. Smells lightly grassy with noble hops.
Tastes grassy, lightly sweet malt. Some faint but strident noble hops in the finish and aftertaste. More creamy than crisp, finishes clean, no real aftertaste. Nice for summer but overall very average. Not crisp enough, not enough hops, pretty dull and drab. thedm (3836), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 4, 2006 This bottled brew poured a small sized head of foamy fine to large sized white colored bubbles that was mostly lasting and left behind a transparent softly carbonated orange colored body. The aroma was bready hoppy malty and sweet. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and mellow in the finish. The flavor contained notes of malt hops and was sweet and crisp. An OK brew just nothing special. Magicdave6 (5558), London, Greater London, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 28, 2006 Defo one for the summer. Aroma gives grassy and florasl hops over pilsner malts. Taste is similar, very easy drinking though ends a bit nothing. rlgk (3378), Vĺrgĺrda, Sweden
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 21, 2006 Yellow/golden beer with a white head. Quite weak malty aroma. Malty and a bit sugary flavor, some hops after a while. EithCubes (2171), Indiana, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 14, 2006 Bottled. Sweet and delicious malt aroma with healthy hops. Also, light funk and bread. Clear golden pour with a huge frothy white head. Taste is very herby with a good balance between hoppy bitterness and sweet maltiness, saazy, pleasantly floral. Medium body. Velvety smooth and creamy, long and lasting aftertaste. Dry malty finish. A Bohemian Helles (though with nice saazy bitterness), I’d say, and a top-notch one at that. joeycapps (1466), Waterdown, Ontario, Canada
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 30, 2006 Well-carbonated, clear gold w/ fluffy white foam. Sweet, malty, grassy aroma. Soft, carbonated feel. Clean, well-balanced, bready flavour w/ notes of honey & a mild bitterness. bitbucket (2036), Kirkland, Washington, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 23, 2006 Bottled. Pale amber color with white head supported by streams of carbonation
The aroma is grass, with fruit and dusty citrus notes.
Light body with medium carbonation. Nicely balanced, doesn’t get watery in the middle.
The taste is toffee, dusty malt and fruit with a crisp, bitter finish. scotty (834), Scotland
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jun 21, 2006 This was a 1/2 litre bottle from Asda, Carlisle ( I think!), it has a different label to the one illustrated, everything else seems to be the same tho’
This is a fine Czech Pils, smooth, well balanced, has that characteristic slightly sweet malty character. There is a sharp fruity acidity that lingers on the palate for ages afterwards....lovely! A quality brew.....looks good too!
