Biscuity aroma. Smooth malty tone and a light tinge of watery finish. Smooth and light. Aurelius (2654), Tallahassee, Florida, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 9, 2005 A sturdy, satisfying brew. Nutty malt aroma. Distinct sweet golden raisin and figgy notes. Diacetyl. Mellow but characteristic hopping. Straw flavours. Honey gold, good bottle, good label, good head. Mouthy, with a dark syrup and hop finish. This was an agile and well-balanced beer: It was good just to sip and nurse the one, but it would have been good at a picnic/meal, or with hors d’oerves. argo0 (6978), Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 5/5 | 14/20 | Aug 2, 2005 (12oz bottle) Crystal clear apple juice body topped by a medium white head. Aroma is medium sweet, fresh bread, caramel, butter, some grassy. Taste is the same, though the hops are a bit more pronounced. Light body, nice crispness and drinkability. whaleman (2171), North Wales, Pennsylvania, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 1, 2005 Herold Traditional Czech Lager (Vycepni Svetle), 4.3% ABV. Nice clear golden body with gentle carbonation and a pure white, cottony head. Aroma is round and interesting with elements of pine nuts, toast, warm butter, mild spice and perfume. Pleasant diacetyl level enhances this beer and brings out the malt character which is well-balanced by some subdued hop flavor. Very solid session beer.

| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 16/20 | Jun 26, 2005 On tap at U Zpevacku in Prague. Thick, foamy head on top of a golden body. Not the greatest nose, a little on the skunky side. No skunk in the taste, though, just crisp bitterness. Could use some more sweetness to round it out like the 12 degree. darkko (99), Kingsport, Tennessee, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jun 13, 2005 Nice golden color with a small and quickly dissipating head. Crisp, light taste that is refreshing. Very mild with very low bitterness. A nice beer albeit not memorable. jgb9348 (2515), Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA
| 4.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Jun 12, 2005 Clear golden coloured body with nice copper highlights and a great micro-froth white head. Bubbles rising from the bottom just like you’d expect. This one looks perfect for the style. Aroma of canned corn, wheat, rice, raisins, caster sugar, grapes and a light malt. Medium-bodied; Tart astringent malt flavour with a light hoppy flavour. Tons of sugars and grapey flavours come out moments later. Taste is full with a good amount of character - especially for the style. Very light and fragrant while still having a nice astringency. Aftertaste leaves the palate sweet, yet tart. Overall, a damn good beer - one of the better lagers i’ve had recently and one to pick up if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased at Whole Foods in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia on 03-March-2005. ThomasE (5178), Copenhagen, Denmark
