Aug 2, 2005 (12oz bottle) Crystal clear apple juice body topped by a medium white head. Aroma is medium sweet, fresh bread, caramel, butter, some grassy. Taste is the same, though the hops are a bit more pronounced. Light body, nice crispness and drinkability.

Aug 30, 2004 Crystal clear, deep gold lager with a mid-sized, fizzy, white head. The aroma is fruity, spicy and interesting. Black pepper, jalapeno pepper, citrusy hops and an unidentified fruit... a morph between peach, avacado and watermelon. The flavor is perfectly balanced via careful bittering. Also delivers just a touch of clover honey. Medium-bodied with a lightly oily mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Lengthy, clean and then bitter finish. Nice surprise!

Mar 28, 2005 Deep golden colour with a white head that leaves a nice set of lacing. Malty aroma with a slight fruityness and hoppy touch. Mostly bitter flavor and a dry finish.

May 5, 2006 This bottled brew from Indianapolis poured a small sized head of foamy white colored mostly lasting fine to medium sized bubbles that left behind a carbonated transparent light orange brown colored body. The aroma was bready and malty. The mouth feel was tingly from start to finish and slightly astringent. The flavor was crisp and semi thick with malty hoppy bready doughy notes.

Sep 10, 2005 I believe this is the beer I had as "Herold Lager" at Brickskeller, Wash DC, 9/2/05: Golden, moderate activity and a foamy top. Biscuity aroma. Smooth malty tone and a light tinge of watery finish. Smooth and light.
