thebeertourist (1889), Oslo, Norway Oct 10, 2008 Bottle. Hazy, shiny orangey copper colour with a big tan head. Plummy aromas with bitter spicy notes. Sweet, spicy malt flavours with good medicinal bitterness. Rye is there, herbs provide bitterness. It is different and complex, it is quite balanced, but I am still not sure if I like it 100%. trapez (226), Hilleroed, Denmark Oct 6, 2008 Bottle 0.5 l. Aroma sweet very ripe plums. Colour unclear brown with medium beige head. Sweet fruits in the flavour as promised from the aroma, mixed with slight bitterness from the hops. Rich carbonation. Hansen (1771), Randers, Denmark Sep 30, 2008 As far as I can get it translated Mjødurt is Meadowsweet. It gives the beer some medicine-notes, herbal, camfer, mint. The beer is medium orange coloured and hazy. Head is off-white and mostly diminishing. Flavor is mainly bitter. M0RHI (1026), Luxembourg, Luxembourg Sep 27, 2008 Draught, EBF 08, Copenhagen. Clear chestnut. Nose is hops, some malt, lots of herbs, some menthol. Minty. Mouth is minty, mouthwash, malty. That mintiness is present still. Dullened end. Weird, but no thanks. oh6gdx (6334), Vaasa, Finland Sep 26, 2008 Draught@EBF2008. Reddish amber colour, small beige head. Aroma is herbs, vegetables and some mild notes of yeast and caramel. Flavour is quite bittery vegetably as well as slightly herbal. Another no more for me, thank you...
