Lightly hazy deep orange-tan coloured body is topped by a generous, fine bubbled, white head that recedes fairly quickly to a lasting cover with excellent lacing. Hop flavours greet the tongue initially but are joined by toasty and biscuity malt character. Bitterness is quite subdued but keeps the clean, sweet malts from being overwhelming. Floral hops last in the aftertaste. Effervescent, lively carbonation engages the mouth and keeps it feeling fresh. Definitely more in the British tradition this is a decent and quaffable pale ale. Cellar temperature. Tulip glass. Bottle (M.h.t. 29.09.05 / B92, Ølbutikken, Aug-05).

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Mar 25, 2009 500 ml bottle, kindly brought home from Copenhagen by my wife. Brew #199, ABV is 5.9%. Hazy deep golden colour, huge white (slightly off-white?) head. Lovely fruity aroma of Amarillo hops, notes of citrus, hints of resin and tropical fruits. The zesty flavour has distinct and fruity Amarillo hops from start to finish, on a decent malty background - well balanced. Not too sweet. Moderate but sufficient bitterness. A pleasant drop.
