It seems that it could easily be kept longer. Lilith (242), Santiago, Chile
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jan 21, 2007 Bright orange color, hazy, with lots of small particles ascending to its beautiful creamy, off-white head. Aroma is sweet, cereal, hoppy like bread, wiht notes of honey, toffee and peach. Flavor is similar to the aroma but smoother and more alcoholic and spicy. Liquorish texture, bitter finish.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 19, 2007 Bottle from Eurohappy: Pours a hazy dark orange color. Head is big, white though it’s not very persistant. It leaves a nice lacing.
Aroma is very spicy, yeasty and fruity. More like a Tripel than anything else. It shows notes of oranges, peaches, coriander, pepper, vanilla and liquorish hints of curazao. After that you can sense a very unusual hoppy aroma of cannabis, resin and pine. Wow, this is weird in a belgian beer. Complex.
Flavor is more like a Quad. Intense, sweet, liquorish with notes of cognac, oranges, tequila sunrise, apricots and some berries. Good bitterness in the end along with an alcoholic burn. Great.
Body is big, thick oily texture. Very strong alcoholic presence. Warming sensation while sipping. Nice carbonation for the style. Good aftertaste. A very interesting, different brew.

Pours golden orange, lots of suspended floaty material, and with a big white egg-white head that clings to the sides of the glass as the head recedes in an opaque layer of white lacing. Gentle citrus and flowers on the aroma, a very slight sour funkiness and a hint of honey. Like the appearance, the flavor is that of tripel, orange peel and candy sugar, maybe a whisp of pineapple, a bit too much hops-turned-to-cheese. Mouthfeel is rich and here the alcohol warmth on the palate is quite enjoyable, as it blends with a final (modest) snap of hops to finish off each sip.
It’s not a masterpiece by any means, but it’s a perfectly respectable beer. HermanW (631), Coevorden, Netherlands
