| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Dec 24, 2006 This is a triple. Aroma is very fruity, yeasty, floural grassy with a bit of sweetness off the malts but very nice. Taste is similar grassy, bittering hops balance it out well, probably the best triple iv ever had and one to have again. UselessGdTaste (363), Long Beach, California, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 21, 2006 I really like the mouth feel. I poured this rather aggressively, which removed some of the extra carbonation. Flavor is sweet with a a bitterness that kind of hits the back of the throat in a good way. Very warming, which is expected from a 10%, but taste of alcohol was not there at all. bager (2121), Copenhagen N, Denmark
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Dec 21, 2006 Bottled (also shared with the thirsty Dr. J. at the DTE). Clear golden coloured with a medium sized head. Malty with notes of candied sugar, caramel and spices. Somewhat alcoholic with a too high carbonaton level. BückDich (4857), McCall, Idaho, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Dec 12, 2006 Bottle: Hazy gold, light head and lacing. Nose of musky yeast, a bit dark with some molasses or rye notes. The flavor is super caramelly like those caramel cubes you get at halloween. Finishes a bit strong, sweet, balanced though. Yummy, citrusy and hoppy. themadmumis (344), Westminster, Maryland, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Very nice overall. Enjoyed from the Kapittel 4 pack sampler (which is fabulous for a rarer brew). Needs a little more refinement even though alcohol was blended well. More yeasty overall than expected; well played. luiss (89), Elmsford, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 29, 2006 Not what i normally get from a Abt Quad, which is a darker, maltier, yeasty beer. Pours a amber orange color great color if it was a pale ale or a really nice pilsner. A bit yeasty with a somewhat roasted hop charecteristic, herby, cough medicine after taste. It awakens the palate with a smooth carbonated fizz. Definetly mild for a Quad but a good brew dont know if i take away point for not fitting the description. after4ever (2828), Brier, Washington, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Nov 24, 2006 33cl. Pours a cloudy medium cooper with a towering platinum blonde head that slows down your pour quite a bit. Lots of sticky lace all over. Thick whipped-egg-white tufts in the middle of things. Couldn’t ask for a prettier beer. Definitely agree with the honey and dust in the nose; no better way to describe it. Attack is sharp; medium body and active carb with flavors very present immediately. Some tart green apple and pear there and in the mid-palate. Plenty of sugars kicking around; the booze isn’t horribly forward, especially given the abv, but between the sweetness and the hotness at the end you kind of wonder whether a year or two might mellow down this beast a bit. Kind of an egg-white-y hollowness to the finish; herbs and honey finally make the round trip from the nose there at the finish, too. This is good stuff but it feels a bit like killing a baby opening it now. tupalev (2618), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 14, 2006 Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, Blankboy, and GregClow, courtesy of Jerc. Musty very fruity aroma, some honey, dust. Orange pour, foamy white head. Sweet musty taste, strong alcohol, fruity. Very sweet and strong. Decent, but a little over the top with candy sugar for my liking
