Botte at Bier Circus. Cloudy orange. Very rich and fruity. Thick and fiery. Not sure if I’d say it was an Abt though.. Still, very good. hope I can find this again.

5th beer at party. Lovely spicy aroma. A very nice beer, that I found spicy and flavorful. A Belgian I could have many many times.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev -- courtesy of jerc. Pours a hazy golden-orange with a large mostly-lasting foamy white head and lots of little floaties. Sweet aroma, a little sugary, lots of yeast along with some spices and alcohol. Flavour’s also sweet with some yeast, some faint hops and a spicy/ alcoholic finish (also some bottle/metal in the finish) -- I’m not crazy about the aftertaste. Average body. It’s O.K. but it’s a little too sugary sweet for me.

Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, tupalev & blankboy - courtesy of jerc. Hazy light gold, tiny white head. Aroma is fruity, a bit spicey, Belgian yeast notes, not bad. Sweet flavour, a bit musty, dry finish with alcohol warmth. OK, but not especially memorable.

Bottle (330ml). Shared with blankboy, GregClow and tupalev - bottle courtesy of jerc. Murky yellow-orange, small white head, floaties. Sweet candy malt aroma, like apple cobbler, yeast and alcohol. Taste is very sweet and yeasty, like a fruit pastry with tons of alcohol, has a very sharply bitter spicy/yeasty finish. Thick syrupy body, alcoholic and bitter mouthfeel, bitter almost harsh aftertaste. Considering how many times this has moved from fridge to fridge in the last year, acceptable - a little harsh

Bottle at the Chapitre in Namur (Belgium), 2002 vintage. Amber with a foamy white head, along with vinuous fruit aromas, yeast and pepper. Smooth and light at first, but and dry in the follow through. Vinuous fruit flavours with a touch of honey sweetness.

Bottle from a little shop in SF. Slightly hazy medium amber color on the pour. Sediment floating about. Yeasty floral aromas.Strong yeasty flavor with a bit of graininess. Quite spicy. Some hoppy grapefruit in the finish.
