Jun 5, 2006 Poured with a nice head and a fairly cloudy golden yellow color. Sweet and citrusey aromas and flavors arose over top of the wheaty tasting (and yeasty) base that was accented by orange peels and coriander. Candi sugar flavors were detected and this one actually included a slightly bitter finish to keep things honest. Good stuff.

Jun 1, 2006 more interesting than the blonde. perfumey smell amplified by the higher alcohol content. i’m a rum fan and this seems to have notes of some i’ve sampled.

May 22, 2006 Poured a golden color with a thin white head that faded quickly. Aroma is very odd, has an incense or perfume character. Flavor is just as daunting and disappointing. Some sweet candyish flavor as wellas some vanilla and apricot. As with other Kapittel beers there is a good level of hops being used. And as with the other beers it lends a harshness to the finish.

May 7, 2006 Copper/amber colour with a small lasting white head. Spicy, fruity and candied sugar aroma. Full bodied, starting sweet and finishing with more sweet tones and some spices. Nice but a little too sweet for my palate.

May 5, 2006 Habersham Beverage Warehouse, Savannah, Ga. 11.2 oz bottle. Dark golden pour with a sticky head of white with good thick lacing. Strong. pleasant aroma - pick up hints of rum, bourbon, maple syrup, alcohol. Sweet flavor, with essence of candied sugar, alcohol, hot buttered rum, butterscotch. Some nuttiness finds its way into the back end. Very thick and creamy mouthfeel. Impressed with the "Kapittel" line thus far.

Apr 29, 2006 A hazy orange beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity, and so is the flavor, leading to a very dry end.

Apr 23, 2006 Bottle. Superb hazy blond body topped with a thick white frothy head. Enjoyable malty/hoppy aroma with flowery and honeyish notes. Sharp hoppy taste that carries spicy, yeasty and honeyish hints. Ends with a long and warming bittersweet aftertaste.
