Bottle 33 cl. Pors a brownish golden with a small white head and a sweet aroma of malts and ripe fruits. The taste is a full-bodied heavy sweetness, but the taste isn’t as complex as most other beers in this style. A nice beer, but there are far better beers in this style.

(330 ml bottle (best before 3/06) from Tully’s) Pours fairly cloudy slightly burnt orange/amber with one finger of soft-looking biege head that recedes to a thin, lasting cap. Aroma of light, sweet dark fruits and some doppel-like smokiness. Mouthfeel soft, with a decent amount of heft, fine bottle-conditioned carbonation. A bit sticky in the finish. Very nice well-defined weepy rings of lacing. Flavor of sweet dark fruitiness and brown sugar. A wonderful doppel-like smokiness. A nice, warming alcohol presence on the back end. I really kind of loved this stuff!

Bottle from somewhere in Richmond, VA. Hazy orange-amber with minimal head. Spicy, nutty caramel aroma. The first thought that came to mind with the taste was rice. Some fruity notes as well. Odd character to this one. Slightly sticky and full bodied.
