75cl bottle shared with my father! 2005 vintage! Aroma: Copper-orange with a minimal head. Lots of yeast flowing around in this one :) Appearance: Belgian yeast, Caramel, Fruit, Spices. Flavor: Caramel, Sugar, Tropical fruit, Honey. Palete: Liquid is a bit thin but very smooth. Low carbonation. Another fine belgian ale that does its country justice. 10% ABV and i couldn’t even detect a wee hint of alcohol. Very smooth indeed! I’ll be drinking this one again!

330ml bottle. This one has been sitting in the back of my cellar for a few years. Poured a lighter orangish color with a large sized off white head. Lots of suspended floaters. Aromas of bready yeastiness, spices, and lots of fruitiness. Like a spiced fruit bread. Tastes of caramel, light citrus, fruity and lightly spicy. Alcohol content well hidden.

An orange colored beer. The bubbling is going on. A beautiful white head. It has an aroma, which is very hoppy, with a kind of sweetness in the back. Also a little spicey. The taste is hoppy amd yeast, with very nice fruits in the back, maybe a touch of abricot. I Like this beer very much.

A Mes rate: draught at Lowlander.
Dark red brown with a thin beige head and lots of lace. Pleasant enough aroma of some sweet sugary malt, a nice bready note and just a faint lick of alcohol. Sadly the flavour is a real let down. I can only guess that there was something wrong with this, which is most unlike Lowlander, even with the slip in standards recently. It’s fiercly metallic, like the other Het Kapittel beers are but this is much much worse. Close to licking a spoon. The tangy sweetness from the aroma is there, the malt and hops seem decent but it’s all just killed by the metal which lingers on in the finish and really doesn’t want to shift.

330ml bottle pours a soft golden yellow with a nicely-formed small-bubbled foamy white head. Sweet candy sugar in the nose is balanced by both a strong doughy yeast character and a starchy bread/potato quality. Full, thick, frothy, thirst-quenching and vibrant across the palate. Wonderfully rich, frothy and soft, with light candy sugar up front, some wheat, some lemon grass and some cracker malts, before showing a hint of alcohol in the long-lasting, very satisfying finish. Damn good beer.

Tap @ Toronado on 4/18/08. A hazy golden orange color with a white head. A nice peach and apple aroma with a smooth, semi-sweet honey flavor. A sugar coated carbonated finish. Smooth and enjoyable.

Draft at Toronado. Orangish yellow, aroma is sugar, orange, yeast, light grass. Medium bodied, quite sweet, messy sugary mouthfeel. How is this an abt?

Orange amber with a creamy blanket of suds and plenty of bits. Sweet soapy coriander nose with honey, marmalade, sickbowl, custard cream and spruce. Acid burn citrussy pine flavour with plenty of yeast, juicy orange hop, antiseptic. Not as bad as it sounds. Retronasal pale biscuit and booze. Big alcohol presence and some metal. A bit tangy, piney, mouthwashy. Faintly enjoyable, but disappointing.
