hopdog (4648), Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA May 4, 2008 330ml bottle. This one has been sitting in the back of my cellar for a few years. Poured a lighter orangish color with a large sized off white head. Lots of suspended floaters. Aromas of bready yeastiness, spices, and lots of fruitiness. Like a spiced fruit bread. Tastes of caramel, light citrus, fruity and lightly spicy. Alcohol content well hidden.
Mike_B (12), Canada Oct 3, 2008 Ambrée orangée trouble avec une mousse fine.
Goût fruité et légèrement épicé avec une sensation d’alcool prononcée.
Légère amertume. lithy (206), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Sep 25, 2008 Very light cloudy orange brown with a substantial two finger off white creamy smooth head. Yeasty malty notes, alcohol and green raisin aroma. Creamy nutty malt tastes with a small alcohol bite and a dry finish. thebeertourist (1889), Oslo, Norway Sep 20, 2008 From bottle at In de Wildeman. Hazy amber with a big, yellowish head. Fruity aroma with hints of pear. Complex fruity and yeasty flavours, very bitter. Medium to full body, fizzy. A drinkable beer that hides its strength well. luttonm (49), Seattle, Washington, USA Sep 17, 2008 Smelled sweet from across the table, sitting outside. But with the taste came a much crisper body with a very dry finish. very ’short’ taste before the dry hits, with lingering candied fruit. Alright. ogivlado (2391), Zagreb, Croatia Aug 31, 2008 Bottled(330ml). -as Het Kapittel Tripel Abt.
Orange/golden coloured, medium sized white head that went away slowly, dry yeasty fruity nose. Spicy coriander, light yeasty weak fruity and alcoholic taste with unpleasant metallic notes in the finish. In comparison with St. Bernardus Abt this one sucks.
