Toffee and candi sugar aroma. Quite dry for a dubbel, which is fine by me as I often find them a touch cloying. We all thought this it was not as sweet as the norm - perhaps on draught it’s slightly different from the bottle. Lots of dried berry fruit, some biscuity malt and a touch of dark chocolate. Nice.

Dubbels can often be a little too sweet for me, but this was quite restrained in the sweetness department. Some toffee/caramel, with some light dark fruit. Very nice balance. yes there is a little sweetness, but it finishes drier than you’d expect, which makes it a little more more-ish. kook (2034), Perth, Western Australia, Australia
