Sweet and gentle up till the end, when some strength is noticeable. Cereal flavour - some bran. A brown coloured beer with a large off-white head. The aroma has candy sugars and also seems ’gritty’. The taste is full of good flavours with brown fruits (raisins, sultanas etc.) and malty alcohol together with candy sugars. A tasty beer. Joeh (1908), Buckinghamshire, England

Light-bodied, which effects the beer a lot. Spicyness, pepper and ginger and others; plums and cloves.
Barely bearable.
