Big dollops of sugar, roasted malt, raisin. Sprinkles of blood. Just enough bitterness to be serious. A bit thin and sugary, but plenty of nutty fruit loaf malt to carry it through. Decent Dubbel/nothing special. Too sweet for me. BeerBiker (1392), Kathmandu, Nepal

| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Jul 25, 2007 Bottle, from Billund Vine. Pours a deep nutty brown with a big, lacing off white head on top. Aroma is spicy, tickles a bit in my nose. There are tones of ginger along with the caramel malts. Super creamy feel with a little sirupy finish. Flavour is very sweet, lots of Belgian sugar, caramel and a little spices. A warming slight viniousness at the back along with a good dose of hops. Nice! FatPhil (3476), Espoo, Finland

Pinky-orange colour. Thick doughy head. Sweet aroma - fruity and spicey. Slightly gingery, or similar - something I now associate with the yeast. Very sweet and malty taste, sweet like brown sugar. Plenty of bitterness comes through when in the mouth - fills the nose, and provides a long finish, a bit peppery. Slight taint alcohol, but not one that spoils the taste.
