Dec 31, 2006 Bottle, 0,25l. Brown-red colour, thick white head with small bubbles. Aroma of malt, bread, nuts and butter. Taste like peach, malt, sweet chococlate and yummy-my-belly. Mmm..

Nov 30, 2006 Rich and flavorful. Subtle dark tones hit you. Bought in a bottle shop in Brugge. A lovely dubbel that I wish we could get in the States.

Sep 30, 2006 Updated: Feb 6, 2007Dark brown, almost black coloured with a small off-white head. Very sweet aroma with a small iron touch, lots of added sugars. Medium sweet taste. Finish is also sweet, little bitter. Somewhat weak taste, not like the 7.5% would predict. Medium one.

Brown to dark robin red coloured with an average off-white head. Malty aroma, light fruity with some caramel touches. Full creamy body. Finish is light bitter and somewhat sweet near the end. Very nice.

Jul 27, 2006 330 ml bottle, as "Kapittel Watou Dubbel" (no "Het" anymore), bought in Frederikshavn, Denmark. Chestnut colour, large light tan head. Lovely caramel aroma, also hops and dark fruits, hints of sherry, spices and oak. Flavour has also caramel sweetness with lightly roasted malts and moderate oaky and spicy elements, nice. Moderate hops in the finish. A pleasant beer to drink, will appeal to people with a "sweet tooth".
