Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
For this sweet flavoured and dark brown beer,we use aromatic malt (for the dark colour). For abbey beer, Kapittel Pater has rather low abv (6%). The hop we use is Poperingse hop which has only a light bitter taste.

Bottle. Pours a deep re-brown colour with a medium sized white head. Sweet toasty caramel dark fruity aroma. The flavour has a nice toasty maltiness and caramel, dark fruits and bitter hops. The finish is bitter-sweet.

Strong citrus lemon aroma and malt. Color is amber with bubbly tan head. Flavor is slightly metallic (at first) to strongly metallic on the duration. Sweet malt and some dried fruit. Very bubbly like 7-up the bubbles stuck to the inside of the glass all the way down to the bottom. Perhaps past it’s prime. Almost tastes like 1/2 beer 1/2 7-up. Very odd but not undrinkable.

The 2nd beer from these guys and along with the first, I think it was past it’s prime. An aroma of sea salt really trumped anything else in the aroma department. Flavor was really metallic, light fruits with a clean finish. Think I’ll look for a fresher version and then re-rate.

Bottle: Poured a reddish brown amber with creamy light tan head. The aroma was sweet fruit and malt. The taste was very diffrent than I was expecting it was alsmost a sweet irony taste which could call for the hoppy bitterness.

Red mahogany with a golden, creamy and nice head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruit and sweetness. The flavour has notes of candy sugar, malts, raisin, fruit, caramel and a light citrus. It’s a charming and harmonic beer. 2284
