| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 25, 2006 Bottle sampled with Beerded_one. Pours amber\brown with a small off-white head. Aroma of citrus, slight fruit, and caramel malts. The flavor is metallic, bready, sweet, caramel, dull and boring. Drinkable brew, disappointing for Kapittel. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 23, 2006 Pours a garnet-hued-honey-colored body, while the finishing yeasts add murk and deepen the color to an amber/brown. Berries evident early in the aroma. Additional metallic notes over toffee and fruity florals with hints of oil-based paint later. Thick-bodied and dry with a fruity persona and a sweet, malty base. Light bitterness in the finish, but the aftertaste is of candy. Satisfying, but you need to be in the mood for a sweet beer.
