Jul 29, 2006 Bottle: Pours deep amber with an off-white head. Nose of caramel, banana and malt. Flavour of malt, brown sugar and dark, dried fruit (raisins). Medium bodied. Sour-sweet and slightly bitter finish. A delicious brew.

Jul 25, 2006 330 ml bottle, bought in Frederikshavn, Denmark, as "Kapittel Watou Pater" (no "Het" on the label anymore). Clear and beautiful reddish brown colour, large and lasting light tan head. Nice malty aroma with notes of caramel and bakery, hints of wood, Christmas spices and dark fruits. Flavour is malty sweet but also fruity and zesty, quite nice. Some spices in the background. Definitely not a bad beer, but a tad too sweet to make me ecstatic.

Jul 2, 2006 Copper with a thick light brown head. Lots of wood notes in the aroma, strong spice, rich malt and some background yeast. That is delicious! This is a beer I would love to have on tap on a regular basis. Warm malt, touch of caramel toffee, thick spice and a gentle palate

Jun 29, 2006 Bottle. Reddish garnet with tufty beige head. lager-bock yeast bread rum-malt fruit aroma. Surprisingly rather sweet, the first impression is so sweet that it could be syrupy sweet soft drink! To baad cause the looks and aroma are right but, that’s so sweet that the flavor is missing! At least, its a kind of honey bready sweetness, with malty grain flavors that come apparent on multiple sips. A bit of a let down but, not a totally terrible beer by any means.

Yeasty, spicy aroma, very Belgian...apples and cherries...baking bread. the muffins are rising...and getting down with the fruit.
Taste: Baked apples, bright berries, raisin roundies, ...nice yeast and juicy malt...tidy hops...noiceness, indeed, with frankly fat malt, and yummy yeast.
Yummy, yummy...what more need be said...I like it. It works. I’d have another. Please?

Jun 15, 2006 Bottle at Delirium Café in Gothenburg. My bottle said "Kapittel Watou PAter Ale". Dark amber color, big beige head. Typical Belgian ale scent. Low to none bitterness, fruity taste. Rather big body. A nice fresh Belgian ale that I can have more of.

Jun 13, 2006 Brown colour whith some red hints and an average off-white head. Sweet fruity, koffee and chocolat aroma with some light malty hints. Full creamy taste, Finish is burned, light bitter with an enjoyable smouth alcoholical flavour. Very nice one.
