Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
For this sweet flavoured and dark brown beer,we use aromatic malt (for the dark colour). For abbey beer, Kapittel Pater has rather low abv (6%). The hop we use is Poperingse hop which has only a light bitter taste.

Appears a murky brown ale with a lot of sediment inside. Thin covering of foam that leaves a decent amount of lacing. Flavor is sweet and hs signs of malt, sugr, and raisin. The aroma was basicaly the same but also smelled almost like a root beer soda.

Bottle. Sweet orange and apple malt aroma with moderate hops. Cloudy orange brown color with small but lasting head. Very syrupy sweet malt flavor up front (a bit cloying) with a strong bitter hops finish. One of the worst tasting belgian ales I’ve tried.

This looks like iced tea with a fizzy light brown head. The aroma is mainly some roasted but sweet malts with moderate spicing. Light-bodied, it tastes like the smell with the mild addition of some dried fruits, raisins, dates, etc. Not remarkable, but drinkable.

Finish is lightly sweet, lightly acidic, moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety/creamy texture, lively carbonation.
