| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2005 Bottled. A chestnut brown coloured beer with a good off-white head. Thea roma is yoghurty fruit with some caramel and toffee. The taste is sugary but also a bit meaty and odd. Reminded me of Abbaye des Rocs. Good full body but something is not quite right in the taste. BBB63 (4271), La Porte, Indiana, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Aug 13, 2005 330 ml bottle served in my St Bernadus glass:
A muddled deep amber almost brown hue with a small but lasting fizzy head and good Lace. The aroma has notes of blackberry, orange zest, curacao, cardamom, white pepper, caramel, and earthy yeast esters. Taste starts with a strange combination of sweet fruits and malt along with some twangy sourness and salty nature. Not really sure what to make of it but it seems to work in a wierd way. Gets a bit yeasty and barnyard notes appear on the finish with a final kick of spice. Minor phenolic undertones are present but not distracting. The feel is sort of so-so, doesn’t add or subtract anything from the overall experiance. A okay brew, nothing special but worth a try. SledgeJr (2977), Omaha, Nebraska, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 10, 2005 In the 330 ml bottle from Cyclone Liquors. Pours a dark amber color with a fluffy beige head. This beer appears and tastes like sweet ice tea! Very low hop content. In a lot of ways this resembles an unattenuated homebrew. The thick gloppy lacing on the sides of the glass are beautiful. mjg74 (2000), La Mesa, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 21, 2005 Bottled. Pours a fairly dark brownish/orange color. Fairly sizable head. Rich fruity aroma. Malty and quite spicy as well. Flavor is rather dry and pretty sweet. Almost a syrupy sweet fruit juice like flavor. Some malts and spices as well. Finish is somewhat sweet. Pretty flavorful. | 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 16, 2005 (Bottle 33 cl) Dark amber, with a big, brownish head. Very full-bodied and aromatic from the malts. Some fruitiness and light, sweet caramel - but overall the dryness dominates. Very discreet hops in the finish. 091197
