Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
For this sweet flavoured and dark brown beer,we use aromatic malt (for the dark colour). For abbey beer, Kapittel Pater has rather low abv (6%). The hop we use is Poperingse hop which has only a light bitter taste.

Deep walnut to mahagany color with a wispy bone colored head. Darker fruit aromas, with lots of esters. Lots of malt throughout the quaff. Smooth and drinkable.

Dark reddish brown, huge tan head rises well above the top of the glass, great lacing. Aroma is ginger, cinnamon and malt. Medium bodied, well carbonated. An odd combination of caramel malt down the center and sharp zesty edges full of lemon, banana, apricot, then ending with powdered sugar and malt.

New arrival at my local beer store. I enjoyed this a lot more than their quad. Poured with a large off white head. The body was a very dark amber and brown color. The aroma is sweet with bananas, peaches, nutmeg and a touch of bread. The flavors are sweet. This has strawberries, peaches, bread and a bubblegum finish. This has a lively carbonated mouthfeel. The lacing stuck to the side of the glass more than any other beer I have seen. An excellent Belgian.

Hoppy lemon zest ginger aroma. Hazy medium brown appearance. Metallic hoppy sweetish lemon ice tea, flavors then fruity peach and apricot at the finish. Dry fruity aftertaste.

Bottle pours rusty amber, large frothy off-white head, very light carbonation, with sketchy lacing.   Musty, earth, and light spices on the nose.   Perhaps some ginger root.   Candy sweet up front, slightly herbish, with the aformentioned spice.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes quick, clean, with only a trace of herbs, spices, and maybe some caramel .   A very interesting Belgian, and not too bad either.

Bottle. Reddish brown colour. Yeasty aroma. Malty, but not sweet, slightly metallic flavour. Seems a little thin.
