| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 5, 2004 This brew pours with a reddish-brown body topped by a medium thick head with good lacing. The aroma is slightly sweet and malty with a slight bitterness and a wierd caramel note, as well as, a very slight spiciness. The flavor is slightly sweet yet bitter and slightly off tasting with a slight metallic note. Medium to full bodied and slightly dry yet smooth. Eyedrinkale (3209), Astoria, New York, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Mar 2, 2004 Cloudy, murkey amber color with a gigantic head. Light, sweet malty aroma. Spicy with sweet dried fruit tastes. Medium fruitty finish. DCopperfields (144), Alabama, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 9, 2004 Pours a deep copper hue with an enormous, rocky off-white head and thick, fluffy lace with lasts the duration, as does a big head riding atop the brew.
Aroma is a bit musty, somewhat floral and spicy. Hints of carob and alcohol hit the nose.
Taste is malty and complex, smooth and sweet. Starts with a medium mouthfeel, sweetness hits the tip of the tounge, is balanced out somewhat by a tartness, but the overall impression is sweet caramel, zany cinnamon and coriander spicing, and a long, lingering finish with a carbonation bite.

| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 2, 2004 Hazy dark red color and a sparse head, to say the least. Dried fruits in the aroma, plums and cherries? Great taste, very complex. Sweet dried fruits at the beginning, and ending with a hoppy bitter note. Very easy to drink. Thanks Sue. | 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Feb 2, 2004 Bottle - Poured a deep murky amber brew with a nice huge foamy white head that's long lasting. ABV is bit too omnipresent but excellent carbonation. Taste is sweet with some quite complex mix of spice. I notice that some of the other review mentioned a metallic taste, which I have heard of before. If I recall well, the metallic taste is from the hops and usually goes away after the bottle is aged a bit. madsberg (4966), Søborg, Denmark
