Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
For this sweet flavoured and dark brown beer,we use aromatic malt (for the dark colour). For abbey beer, Kapittel Pater has rather low abv (6%). The hop we use is Poperingse hop which has only a light bitter taste.

Bottle: Hazy, reddish-amber coloured, smaller fluffy beige head; sweetish-malty nose with a fruity touch and a tinge of toasted malt; moderate to solid sweetish flavour with a light acidity; light to medium bodied; a light bitterness shows up in the sweetish-sourish finish. Quite O.K. .........

Muddy brown/red color with a one finger head, ok retention and lacing. Dark fruit aromas, cherries and figs are clearest. Flavor profile is similar, but includes some nutty sweetness and tart apple. Somewhat creamy mouthfeel, moderate carbonation, and a pleasantly fruity finish.

Red brown colour. Thin head. Warm, malty aroma. Well rounded flavour with a good degree of malt sweetness and a rich, full aftertaste.

Pours a deap dark red brown color with a nice thick tan head with nice lacing. Aroma is of roasted malts, grapes and caramels. The flavors are rich, strong roasted malts with coffee and grapes, sweet and bitter at the same time, a very nice balance of flavors. Good carbonation. A very pleasant beer that will make you want more for sure.

An opaque deep brown body with thick tan head that leaves a lot of lacing. Clear roasted malt aroma, and taste as well. bit of mocha flavor, minimal hops.

11.2oz bottle from Whole Foods. Pours a hazy deep brown with a ruby hue. A big frothy beige head left good lacing. Nose was roasty with some dark fruits, berries and coffee. Flavor was mostly coffee with some sweetness.
