Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
For this sweet flavoured and dark brown beer,we use aromatic malt (for the dark colour). For abbey beer, Kapittel Pater has rather low abv (6%). The hop we use is Poperingse hop which has only a light bitter taste.

Bottle(330ml). -Reddish/brown coloured, small off-white head, malty light alcoholic nose. Light roasted malt, burnt sugar and mild yeasty taste with metallic and slight fruity notes in the finish. Surprisingly watery palate, and a way too sweet beer.

Appearance: reddish brown color. Medium head, beige color, consistent, lasting and with good adherence to glass. Aroma: intensive caramel malty aromas, as well, yeasty touches with cookies and banana reminiscences. A lot of fruitiness like plums, figs and red-raisins. Vinous touches and with reminiscences of raisin in rum. Flavor: caramel malts in the start, sweet but not sickly. Butterscotch, tea and toffee notes; too yeasty with banana reminiscences. Intensive and lasting fruitiness like ripe-cherries, plums, raisins, figs and (maybe) red-apples. Vinous and oporto touches. Lovely dry final, with fruity hints and ligth but very persistent. Malty and banana aftertaste. Palate: medium body. Velvety and semi-rough texture. Low carbonation. Remark: beer with a nice and intensive ripe-fruitiness in noose and mouth. Notable bitterness and great texture. Beer with character and complexity.

Draught in Belge. Brown colour. Espressolike light brown head. Some sourness in the taste. Also some malt and hops in the taste. Bite of hops in the end. Some metallic in the taste.

Bottled at Monk’s Café, Stockholm. Pours out in a burgundy brown colour with acreamy off-white foam. Well-composed and balanced aroma of nuts, yeast, licorice, dark cherries and almonds. Medium-bodied with notes of dark bread, licorice, yeast and prunes. Smooth mouthfeel. Long malty finish of blue plums, dark cherries, candid sugar, hay and yeast.

This dark brown ale poured with a decent beige head and a malty aroma. There is a lot of malt in the flavor with tastes of coffee and candy sugar, and a slight amount of hop bitterness.

This tastey beer has a coffee like resemblance. Dark brown with a full khaki coloured head. a nice sweet aroma of honey, caramel and almonds. flavors of caramel and toast. a finish that reminds me of a cappuccino.
