Commercial Description:
Bottle conditioned.
For this sweet flavoured and dark brown beer,we use aromatic malt (for the dark colour). For abbey beer, Kapittel Pater has rather low abv (6%). The hop we use is Poperingse hop which has only a light bitter taste.

Draught. Dark red-brown, very thick beige head. Sweet, plum, sugar, hidden flavours in the aroma. Taste extrame for its 6%, dark smokey, sour and chocolatey. Yumm.

Drank this at Maya Lounge, Bangalore. I like it because it is not very sweet and it has a slight bitter twist in the end. Nice caramel flavor too

33 cL bottle. Pours almost clear amber deep orange with a huge light tan head. Creamy/crispy. Mild yeasty and caramel dense aroma. Flavour is light fruity with a solid caramel malt and light yeasty mellow note. Ends with a smooth caramel malt flavour and a mild spice note.

Bottle, bought in Belgium. Dark, opaque with a red-brown colour when help up to the light. The head is weak but creamy. Bubbles. Grainy, yeasty, malty smell, with hints of burnt sugar, coffee/toffee, liquorice. Bitter-sweet flavour. Fresh, wholesome, biteer-sweet, liquorice palate with some undefined fruitiness. Nice!
