May 25, 2007 $3.49 from Holiday Wine Cellar. Medium brown head that quickly dies to thin lingering head. Pretty good lacing. Nice reddish brown color. Mild Skunkifunk smell. Not too bad, but not great either. Slighty sour, slightly sweet, wet cardboard taste. Strong nutmeg, metallic peppery finish. Not really my favorite. I hate rating this so much lower than others, but did it anyway.

May 24, 2007 Hazy brown hue, with a beige head, yeasty, fruity nose of ripe apples, with a toasted malt, a wet oakiness, candy sugar, hint of spiciness in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a yeasty, spicy, fruity of stewed apples, hint of cinnamom and nutmeg spiciness, with a flowery hop note, with a an alcoholic warmness, leading towards a sweet malty, hop bittering finish.

May 17, 2007 Red when held to the light but mostly a muddy brown color wit ha fairly thick white head. Brown sugar and caramel gives way to some candied fruit. But an unfortunate metallic finish pretty much ruins this ones potential. At least it’ll get you drunk!

May 15, 2007 Tap. Very rare to find this beer on draft so i had the oportunity to taste it on draft and enjoyed this very nice beer . It was not listed in the festival guide but sure a good beer at the festival of Olen.

May 15, 2007 Bouteille verte de 750 ml obtenue via Importations Privés Bièropholie. Arôme: Odeur de petits fruits foncés avec une pointe de chocolat. Apparence: La couleur est brune rougâtre avec une faible densité de bulle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût de caramel fruité avec une pointe de chocolat. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture huileuse. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. May 13, 2007 Bottle, 33 cl. Dark redbrown color, with a large off white head. Aroma roasted malty-sweet, caramel. Medium almost full body. Taste is strong alcoholic, sweet-bitter at the end. It’s ok but not exact my gavorite beer style.

Apr 29, 2007 impressive appearance. pleasent aroma. its very nice on the palate but the initial carbonated feel you get upon sipping it kind of usurps whatever flavors were hiding beneath it.

Apr 20, 2007 Most outstanding. Oddly named, in that Pater tend to be tripels... In any event, a very fine Brune and Karmaliet. A favourite.
